No, you don't need private medical insurance to come to the Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. You can pay for any of our treatments yourself.
Cambridge Oncology Partners has agreements with all of the main insurance companies (BUPA, AXA PPP, Simply Health, PruHealth).
For an initial consultation, you will need a referral from your GP or another medical specialist. The information your doctor knows about your medical history will be helpful to us. This is particularly important if you have medical insurance (as the GP referral may be required for your insurance cover).
Call the team now and we'll book you into a clinic as soon as possible. We can usually see patients within a week, and on occasion, emergency patients can be reviewed as additional evening cases.
A new Outpatient appointment costs £250, any subsequent follow ups cost £125. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy prices are agreed with insurers.
Yes, we treat a number of patients from overseas. You may not be able to find treatment in your country, or you may prefer to be treated in the UK.
